Being a single mother, things don’t always come easy. You are the one & only who your child can count on (in some situations, like mine anyway). With that being said, we really don’t ever have time for ourself. Shopping for ourself is rare, once you have a child, it’s not just about you anymore..

Needless to say, we as single mothers oftentimes become self conscious with our body image & self worth that we just kind of “let ourselves go”.

I was at that point where I have just become extremely unhappy with myself that I decided something needed to change because I wasn’t going to live like this forever.

A close friend (& coworker of mine) had her very first boudoir shoot, she wanted to do it for Christmas gift for her husband. Well that Christmas gift ended up being a gift for herself as well, she left that shoot a completely new person. A few days later her pictures came, when I saw them my jaw hit the floor in pure “awe”, she felt amazing about herself & boasted at how talented Shalista & her team were. It was then that I realized, that THIS is exactly what I needed. 

I booked my appointment. Was I nervous? Absolutely, but I did it & I am so glad I did! This was an experience I will NEVER forget. Every second spent was worth every penny. From the emails prior to my session, the hair, the makeup, to the images I have to look back on & cherish forever. There is no one else I would trust more holding the camera!

Whether this is something you want to do for your boyfriend, husband, wife, girlfriend, or even just for yourself (like in my case), let me tell you, you won’t regret a thing! When you are in Shalista’s hands, you can’t go wrong!
