Miss A - A sexy little secret

I actually chose to do a boudoir shoot after talking to my sister about getting my fiancé a wedding gift and she said she knows people who have done a boudoir, but I shouldn't consider it because I'm a college student that's about to get married and need to save my money. After checking it out I came across Shalista's website and I fell in love! Not just of other women's images, but all the nice reviews customers gave her. They talked about being confident, feeling the sexiest they've ever felt, and overall having an amazing experience and that's what really got me. I'm young, and I very much look it, so feeling sexy isn't something I feel a whole lot of. I sat on it for a long time and wondered if I could swing the money, and finally I knew I had to go through with it because I'd regret it if I didn't.

I am a very anxious person and I definitely over think EVERYTHING. I was very nervous to do my shoot. It helped that Shalista let me come see the studio ahead of time so I wasn't blindly walking into it. I practiced my faces and poses for several months leading up to the shoot. When my day came I was nervous but not scared. Once I got there I immediately started getting my hair and makeup done. The stylist was very friendly and talkative so that helped me relax a lot. Once she was done and I saw myself in the mirror I felt like a fierce goddess! I was prepared to take my photos. Shalista had me put my first outfit on and then gave me a couple guidelines of things she'd ask me to do during posing. She was very professional and specific when it came to what she wanted me to do so I was very confident that I didn't look weird. The shoot went very smoothly and Shalista gave me very encouraging words throughout the entire session so I knew I wasn't making funny faces (my biggest fear!)

It was an amazing experience. I would recommend it to anyone that is even considering it. I felt so empowered and confident in my skin. Plus having a sexy secret is the best ;). Since the shoot I have viewed my photos and I could not look any better! Shalista did an amazing job. Now I'm just excited for the night of the wedding when I get to see my husband's face once he opens the book! :)

  1. What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Please describe how you came to the decision and what finally made you take the leap!

I was actually talking to my sister about getting my fiancé a wedding gift and she said she knows people who have done boudoir shoots, but I shouldn't consider it because I'm a college student that's about to get married and need to save my money. Of course, now the idea peaked my interested and I was just going to take a peak at photographers near me. When I saw your page I fell in love with the idea. Not just the images, but all the nice reviews you customers gave you.

  2. What made you decide to hire me as your photographer?

I decided to go with you for a couple reasons. Your professionalism was a big one. Your website, photos, and reviews from customers let me know that you were professional and classy. But mostly, I was pushed towards you because of all the nice reviews. I definitely base a lot of decision making off what other customers say (in regards to anything), and customers did not say one bad thing about you.

  3. How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your head?

I am a very anxious person and I definitely over think EVERYTHING. I was very nervous to do my shoot. It helped that you let me come see the studio ahead of time so I wasn't blindly walking into it. I practiced my faces and posing for several months leading up to the shoot. I was just hoping you'd be very specific and let me know exactly what to do.

  4. Now that you've had your own photo shoot, how was it?

It was amazing! So fun. I loved all the specific directions and encouragement I got. So glad I went through with it.

  5. Is there anything I could do that would make this experience completely perfect?

    n/a

  6. How did you feel about having your hair and makeup done?

I don't usually let people do my hair or makeup so it was a different experience. I wasn't too nervous though just because I was able to see the other women who have gotten their hair and makeup done and they looked lovely.
