I had been wanting to schedule a boudoir session for several months. I had been looking at several photographers and Shalista’s photos really stood out. All of her photos are beautiful and she has so many positive reviews. I was able to book a last minute session so I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it. The day of the session I was definitely nervous. The hair and makeup was beautiful and Shalista made me feel so comfortable throughout the session. My photos are so beautiful and so much better than I could have imagined and my husband loves them! I definitely recommend Shalista and can’t wait to book another session!

Choosing to do a second shoot with Shalista was a no brainer for me. I loved all the images I got during my first shoot, the only problem I had with looking at those pictures now was that I was wearing my wedding ring and the images were an anniversary gift. I wanted to do a second shoot after getting a divorce, one that was for me. I looked at pictures on Shalista’s website and Facebook group to get outfit ideas, and the ladies at Bella Vous were super helpful too! I was excited for my shoot, definitely calmer getting my hair and makeup done this time compared to the last time. Narrowing down my images was difficult, I loved all of them and the book turned out gorgeous! I would highly recommend doing a shoot with Shalista, the investment is worth it! I can’t wait to do another shoot again!

I left the studio so proud and empowered that I had done something I'd never imagined I'd be able to push myself to do. When I saw my first sneak peeks, I was in tears. What I had always seen in the mirror, was not the same woman in those photos. From the start of booking to the beautiful hair and makeup to the final photos, Your mind’s image of yourself will never be the same again. I have worked with the women who have come back 2 and 3 times to have it done! To see my own self in my photos and know that is 100% me was mind blowing. Do I really look like that?! Dang I didn’t realize I could look like that! I would recommend a boudoir photoshoot to ANYONE who is on the fence about it. It truly is an empowering experience. Initially, I was SO WORRIED about all my blemishes and problem areas.

Once the shoot started, while in a pose, Shalista and I had an intimate conversation that made me feel so comfortable. My husband and I are going through an infertility journey, and I just wanted to feel beautiful in such an ugly journey!
